Empowering lives through music

Services
"With a variety of music therapy services,
Healing Rhythms has been designed
to meet and support any needs."

Individual Sessions
These are 1:1 services with a music therapist that are highly individualized (for both children and adults) to optimize strengths and support unique needs. An assessment will be completed by the music therapist to determine goals of treatment, along with input from family and/or caregivers, followed by recommendations for length of sessions and frequency of music therapy services.
Session length can be 25 or 50 minutes occurring at least twice a month. Ongoing assessments will be made by the music therapist to ensure that a variety of clinical interventions are incorporated to meet the goals being addressed.

Group Music Therapy
Focused group sessions can take place in a variety of settings. Group Music Therapy is a great way to meet the needs of more than one person at a time. Group size may be limited depending upon setting, so the interactions can remain therapeutic and goal- directed for attendees. Larger groups are available as needs arise, often with two therapists co-leading to best support the group. Examples of focused groups may include but are not limited to: social skills, music and relaxation, spiritual, cognitive stimulation, reminiscence through music, holiday/seasonal themes, singing, music and movement, and/or include instrument playing depending upon the needs of the clients in each setting served. Group music therapy is a great option for many senior living communities, skilled nursing facilities, group homes, support groups, and more. Group lengths and frequency range depending upon needs identified.

Adaptive Music Lessons
Individualized music instruction with functional adaptations incorporated for those interested in learning an instrument. This may include but is not limited to: piano, guitar, percussion, voice, and wind instruments. Adaptive music lessons may be appropriate for children or adults with special developmental or learning needs, for those who have anxiety or struggle with traditional learning methods, or for individuals who may have had a physical or neurologic injury or impairment, including professional musicians who would like assistance in re-learning after an illness or injury
